GRADUATE TOWN PLANNER

We are an industry leading multi-disciplinary, planning, urban design, and landscape architecture studio based in the ACT.


We are looking to appoint a Graduate Town Planner who wants to progress their career and play an active role in our growth.


In this role you will work closely with senior staff on a range of planning projects for a mix of public and private sector clients. This will give you direct exposure to clients and allied consultants.

Essential

  • Degree in Urban and Regional Planning/Town Planning/Urban Design.
  • High proficiency with written and spoken English including the ability to prepare clear and concise written reports to accompany development applications/planning proposals.
  • Candidates must hold Australian Working Rights.

Desirable

  • Rudimentary understanding of town planning principles and methods and the ability to apply them in the ACT/NSW.
  • Ability to convey complex information and ideas clearly and through a variety of media to individuals or groups.
  • Ability to manage competing timelines.
  • Ability to work across several projects concurrently.
  • Ability to work in a focused, collaborative and diligent manner with other team members and subconsultants as required.
  • Strong problem identification and resolution skills.
  • Competency in use of AutoCAD and Adobe suite (InDesign) for applicants with urban design aspirations is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

  • Day to day management of development applications and planning proposals.
  • Preparation of statutory and strategic planning advice under the direction of senior staff.
  • Liaison with clients, allied consultants, architects, project stakeholders, planning authorities and government officers.
  • Delivering key project deliverables within the required timeframe and project budget as guided by senior staff.

Salary

Salary package will be negotiated with the successful candidate and will reflect the qualifications, capacity, and experience of the candidate.
