Join our dynamic team at SPACELAB Studio as a Landscape Architect. This full-time role is based in our Canberra office and offers the opportunity to contribute to the design and implementation of innovative urban landscape projects across the region.


We are an award winning, industry leading design firm specialising in landscape architecture, statutory and strategic planning, and urban design. With a strong presence in Canberra and a reputation for excellence and innovation, we work on a diverse range of projects, from public parks and streetscapes to large-scale master plans. Our multidisciplinary team is passionate about delivering high-quality design solutions that enhance the liveability and resilience of our cities.

What you will be doing

  • Developing conceptual and detailed landscape design plans for public and private spaces
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to integrate landscape elements into broader urban planning and architectural projects
  • Preparing design documentation, including plans, specifications, and cost estimates
  • Liaising with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met
  • Overseeing the implementation of landscape projects, including site inspections and quality assurance
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in landscape architecture

What we are looking for

  • A degree in Landscape Architecture
  • Minimum 3 years of post-graduation experience in landscape design and project delivery
  • Strong technical skills in design software, including AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • A keen eye for detail and a passion for creating sustainable and visually appealing outdoor spaces
  • Knowledge of local planning regulations and experience in obtaining approvals
  • You must hold Australian Working Rights with no restrictions

Salary

Salary package will be negotiated and will reflect your qualification, AILA registration, capacity and experience.
